News For March

BUCKEYE BEEMER NEWS
March 2008
Hi Riders – I think I’ve seen a few of you out there recently on the icky streets "getting your fix". That’s a good thing.
What is also a good thing is that we now have a full slate of officers. New and fresh ideas – it’s great. See below. Pat
Current Officers

President Jaime Picou picoubuild@wmconnect.com 419 562-9331

VP Membership Ray Trepanier diplomacy@hotmail.com 614-447-1708

Secretary Larry Cooper lcooper@columbus.rr.com 614-353-8274

Treasurer Henning Calrsen henningcarlsen@tsmd.com 614-871-5321

Activities Eric Nyrop ericnyrop@rileycontrols.com 614-444-9409

These officers were installed at the Banquet in January – our year now running Jan to Jan. Also new is that the club unanimously voted to open for full voting membership in the club those persons who ride any brand of bike. These folks will also be able to hold a position on the board. Another item that has changed is that there will be no term limits. So - as long as a person wishes to serve, and the club votes to have him/her serve, the position is theirs.

There will be no rally for year 2008. There WILL however be a Poker run to benefit the AMA Museum. Mr. Ed Caughell is chairing this event which will be Sunday, June 1, 2008. It will start at Farrows Northstar (I-71 and ST 36-37) and end at the AMA Museum (I-70 and SR 256-104). The cost will be $20.00 per person, this includes admission to the Museum. Registration starts at 10:00 AM and the first bike out at 11:00AM. Contact Ed if you would like to help. (614-645-7989) or caughell7610@yahool.com. Flyers out soon!

Beemers News for December

BUCKEYE BEEMER NEWS
December 2007
Well, folks – winding down the year – still a lot of unanswered questions
for the club. Whether we are for sure going to have a rally is a big question, and how the poker run that benefits the AMA will be configured. Farrows has indicated a willingness to help us with it; pretty much insuring more participants, but the coordination of this is still pending. It could occur on June 1, 2008. Another question is the future of the club. We have five board members and the terms of three of them are finished. Ray Trepanier has agreed to fill one of the positions, we need two more to serve with Henning and Jamie. The elections are at the next meeting, December 19, Five on King at 8:00PM
Please register for the banquet and awards. Also your vote and membership renewal is very important! You will be able to vote on 1)allowing members who ride other than BMW’s to serve as officers, and 2) allowing officers to run for office as many times as they wish. Both of these items could possibly help the club structure, allowing us to continue as a club.
The Spotlight this issue is on Terry McCandlish. Terry is one of the charter members o f Buckeye Beemers and served on the board in various positions including President for some years. Terry hasn’t been able to join us at meetings the past few months due to health reasons. You can reach him or Cyril at 39 West Street, Canal Winchester, 43110, 614-834-1969.
WELCOME new members: John & Nancy Buckley, Pat Herman, Larry Cooper (renewed), Bob & Susan Koss, and Dale Vandewalker
